costing over fifty dollars ($50) on the public roads or bridges
in Allegany County shall be under the supervision of said En-
gineer.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

ARTICLE H.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.

CHAPTER 57.

AN ACT to repeal Section 163, Section 164 and Section 165 of
Article 2 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne
Arundel County," relating to gas companies.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 163, Section 164 and Section 165 of Article
2 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County," be and the same is hereby repealed.

Approved April 1, 1910.

CHAPTER 65.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 17lD
and 178D of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Anne Arundel County," subtitle "Justices of the Peace," as
the same were enacted by Chapter 301, Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, Session 1894, increasing the salary of
the Police Justice for the Fifth Election District of Anne
Arundel County and fixing the places where he shall hold his
office in the towns of Brooklyn and South Baltimore.

Whereas, The salary of the Police Justice of the Fifth Elec-
tion District of Anne Arundel County has remained fixed at
fifty dollars per month since the year 1894; and

Whereas, The cost of living has greatly increased and the
present Police Justice of the Fifth Election District paid to the
county as collections from the fines during the last year a sum
of money exceeding seventeen hundred dollars; and

Whereas, It is now deemed proper to increase the compensa-
tion received by said Police Justice and also to fix certain
places where he shall have his office in the towns of Brooklyn
and South Baltimore; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
