lars for each offense, and in default of the payment of fine and
costs, the party so offending shall be committed to the town
lock-up in the town of Frostburg for not more than five days,
or to the Allegany County Jail for not more than twenty days.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 616.
AN ACT to repeal Section 98 of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Allegany County," sub-title "Deer," and
to repeal Sections 97/99, 99A and 99e of Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Allegany County," sub-
title "Deer," as enacted by Chapter 276 of the Acts of 1902,
and Chapter 439 of the Acts of 1904, and to repeal Section
13A of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Allegany County," sub-title "Birds and Game," as enacted
by Chapter 36 of the Acts of 1896, and to repeal and re-
enact with amendments Sections 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18 and
19 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Alle
gany County," sub-title "Birds and Game," and to add five
additional sections, to be known as 14A, 16A, 16B, 16c and
17A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 98 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Allegany County," sub-title "Deer," and Sections
97, 99, 99A and 99B of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Allegany County," sub-title "Deer," as enacted by
Chapter 276 of the Acts of 1902, and Chapter 439 of the Acts
of 1904, and Section 13A of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Allegany County," sub-title "Birds and
Game," as enacted by Chapter 36 of the Acts of 1896, be and
the same are hereby repealed, and that Sections 12, 13, 14, 16,
17, 18 and 19 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Allegany County," sub-title "Birds and Game," be re-
pealed and re-enacted, and that five additional sections, to be
known as 14A, 16A, 16e, 16c and 17A be added, so as to read as
follows:
Section 12. It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot, or
in any manner catch or kill, or sell, or have in his or her pos-
session, living or dead, any pheasants (ruffled grouse), part-
ridges (quail), English pheasants, rabbits, wild turkeys, or
deer, between the thirty-fist day of December and the tenth day
