empowered to supervise the expenditure of the same and make
any agreement essential to carrying out the purpose of this
Act.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said bridge shall be con-
structed and said sum assessed and appropriated to the use of
the Road Directors for Allegany County only upon the condi-
tion that the proper authorities of -Mineral County, West Vir-
ginia, enter into an agreement with said Road Directors that
they will pay one-half of the costs of construction of said
bridge, and that they will further pay one-half of the costs of
repairing and maintaining said bridge.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That if there shall be any sur-
plus remaining over after the said bridge is built from the sum
or sums appropriated by the County Commissioners for said
county, that the said Road Directors shall return same to said
County Commissioners.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 652.

AN ACT to repeal Section 2 of Chapter 639 of the Acts of
1900, entitled "An Act to provide for a tax collector for the
town of Frostburg," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Chapter 639 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1900, entitled "An Act to provide for a tax collector for the
town of Frostburg" be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of said tax
collector to collect all taxes once every year, all the water
rents once every three months, and any other assessments made
by the Mayor and Councilman of any character whatsoever,
and shall report to the Mayor and Councilman once every
month of all money collected, and turn the same over to the
Treasurer of said town. He shall file a bond in the penal sum
for six thousand dollars, and said bond shall be liable for all
taxes, water rents and assessments, whether collected or not,
except such taxes, water rents and assessments, as the said
Mayor and Councilmen may allow as insolvencies, the claims
for insolvencies to be submitted by the said tax collector to
the said Mayor and Councilmen during the term of his office.
