105. To the State Roads Commission, the sum of ten thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1911, and the like sum of ten
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1912, for the purpose of
improving the entrance of State roads into the City of Balti-
more; or so much thereof as may be necessary shall be paid
unto said Commission, with which they shall curb and pave
with improved pavements Columbia avenue, from the Balti-
more and Ohio Railroad northeasterly to Carroll Park, and
the "balance, if any, of the said appropriation shall be paid
unto the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, with which
they shall curb and pave with improved pavement Ridgeley
street, from the Baltimore and Ohio Rrailroad northeasterly,
the extent of the balance of the said appropriation, said sum
to be paid unto the city only upon condition that the city
appropriate a sufficient sum to complete the curbing and pav-
ing of Ridgeley street with like material, to its intersection
with Fremont avenue.
106. To the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of
Maryland, the sum of five thousand dollars for the fiscal year
1911, and the like sum of five thousand dollars for the fiscal
year 1912.
107. To the Daughters in Israel, the sum of one thousand
dollars for the fiscal year 1911, and the like sum of one thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1912.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the State
shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller of the Treasury,
pay the said sums of money herein appropriated for the objects
and purposes hereinbefore specified to or upon of the order of
the person or persons, or body corporate entitled to receive
the same; and all of the aforesaid appropriations to the State
charitable and educational institutions shall be paid in equal
quarterly instalments; provided, however, that all hospitals
receiving five thousand dollars or more for each fiscal year,
as herein mentioned, shall present to the Comptroller satis-
factory evidence that said hospital has been prepared at all
times to receive twenty-seven free patients for each fiscal year.

exception of the portions of the respective amounts of the
several items disapproved, as appears in the disapproval of
the said several items and in the disapprovals of the portions
of the respective amounts of the said several items hereunto
annexed:
