SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 154.
AN ACT to refund to John W. Avirett, late State Game War-
den, eighteen hundred and forty-two dollars and forty-six
cents advanced by him to the State of Maryland for the
establishment of the Department of Game and Fish Protec-
tion, and for the maintenance thereof to April 10, 1906.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of eighteen hundred and forty-two dollars
and forty-six cents be and is hereby appropriated to pay unto
John W. Avirett, late Game Warden, for material, expenses
and supplies paid for by the said John W. Avirett in the
establishment of the Department of Game and Fish Protection
and for the maintenance of the office of State Game Warden
of Maryland to April 10, 1906; and that the Comptroller of
the Treasury of Maryland be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer of the State
of Maryland for the sum of eighteen hundred and forty-two
dollars and forty-six cents in favor of said John W. Avirett.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 495.
AN ACT to refund to the Consolidated Gas Electric Light
and Power Company of Baltimore, successor by consolidation
to the Consolidated Gas Company of Baltimore City, a sum
of money erroneously paid into the State Treasury.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Treasurer of the State is hereby authorized to
pay to the Consolidated Gas Electric Light and Power Com-
pany of Baltimore, successor by consolidation to the Consol-
idated Gas Company of Baltimore City, upon the warrant of
the Comptroller of the Treasury the sum of four thousand five
hundred and seventy-six dollars and sixty-six cents ($4,576.66),
being a sum of money erroneously paid into the State Treasury
by the said Consolidated Gas Company of Baltimore City on
