7. To the Sisters of Mercy in the City of Baltimore, for
the use of St. Agnes' Convent, located at Mt. Washington, in
Baltimore County, Maryland, the sum of one thousand dol-
lars ($1,000), and it is recommended that said sum be applied
toward the erection of a chapel by said convent.
8. To the Reverend Thomas J. Kenney the sum of two thou-
sand dollars ($2,000).
9. To the Most Reverend Archbishop of Baltimore, the
sum of ten thousand dollars ($ 10,000) absolutely.
10. To the Safe Deposit and Trust Company of Baltimore,
the executor of said Mary A. P. Cosgrove the sum of two thou-
sand five hundred dollars ($2,500), to be devoted to the erec-
tion of a memorial altar to said deceased, which altar is to
be erected according to the judgment of and located in a
church to be selected by the Reverend Thomas J. Kenney, as-
sistant pastor of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
11. To the Most Reverend Archbishop of Baltimore abso-
lutely the rest and residue of the estate of said testatrix.
SEC. 2. Arid be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 40.
AN ACT to amend the charter, change the name of and extend
the powers of the Woman's College of Baltimore, a corpora-
tion heretobefore formed under the General Laws of Mary-
land, and to repeal Sections 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Chapter 325
of the Acts of 1890, and to re-enact said sections of said Act
with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of "The Trustees of the Woman's College
of Baltimore City," the corporate name of the institution, cre-
ated under the provisions of the Code of Public General Laws
relating to corporations, and afterward changed by Act of
April 3, 1890, Chapter 325, of the Acts of 1890, to "The
Woman's College of Baltimore," be and hereby is so changed
that the name shall be "Goucher College."
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation shall
have the power to elect by ballot corporators or members of
said corporation, to be known as the trustees thereof, to a num-
ber not less than twelve or more than forty, under the terms and
conditions prescribed herein and in such by-laws as may be
adopted by said corporation not in conflict with the provisions
of this Act. The corporators or trustees shall be divided into
four classes, and the term of membership of the first class shall
