PRIVATE ACTS. 1441

given, granted and declared to the acquisition by the said
Deaconess' Board of the General Synod of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in the United States of America of the prop-
erty conveyed by said deed, and the holding, selling, mortgaging
or otherwise disposing of the same.

SEC. 3. And te it .enacted, That this Act shall take1 effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 323.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the following gifts and bequests
contaiped in the last will and testament of Mary A. P. Cos-
grove, late of Baltimore City, State of Maryland, deceased.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same are hereby declared, given and
granted to the following gifts and bequests contained in the
will of the late Mary A. P. Cosgrove, which will has been ad-
mitted to probate in the Orphans' Court of Baltimore City
and is of record in the office of the Register of Wills of said
city in Wills Liber H. W. J., No. 106, folio 77.

1. To the House of the Good Shepherd for Colored Girls
of Baltimore, located at Calverton, Maryland, the sum of two
thousand dollars ($2,000).

2. To the House of the Good Shepherd for White Girls of
Baltimore, located in Baltimore City, the sum of two thousand
dollars ($2,000).

3. To the Sisters of Bon Secour for the Care of the Sick of
the City of Baltimore, the sum of one thousand dollars
($1,000), to be used in the work of that institution in the
City of Baltimore aforesaid.

4. To the Sisters of Bon Secour for the Care of the Sick
of the City of Baltimore, the sum of one thousand dollars
($1,000), to be used in the work of that institution at its
branch located in the City of Washington, in the District of
Columbia.

5. To St. Elizabeth's Home of Baltimore City, the sum of
two thousand dollars ($2,000).

6. To the Most Reverend Archbishop of Baltimore, for the
use of St. Joseph's Catholic Church located on Barre street,
in Baltimore City aforesaid, the sum of one thousand dol-
lars ($1000).
