said county, for the purpose of conveying passengers, mail and
express to and from some point'in Cambridge to some point or
points selected by the president and directors of said company
in any of the districts south of Cambridge, and to have the
exclusive right, as above stated, for the purpose of maintain-
ing schedule service by the above-named means of transporta-
tion, and in and through the localities named in this section;
and the said company shall have power to transport and haul
passengers, parcels, packages and general freight over said
roads, and to charge such rates of compensation therefor as
the board of directors may from time to time determine.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said board of directors
are hereby authorized to open books for subscription to the
capital stock of said transportation company at such time and
places as they may deem proper; that the said board of direc-
tors shall have power to determine in what instalments said
subscription to said capital stock shall be paid.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted' That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 676.
AN ACT to authorize the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad
Company to extend its railroad to tidewater.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad Company,
a corporation duly chartered under the General Laws of this
State, is hereby authorized to extend its railroad to tidewater
upon any route that it may acquire from its present line east
of Towson to the east side of Patapsco river, in Baltimore
county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted for the purpose of this Act,
That all laws or parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions
of this Act, and particularly so much of the Act of 1906, Chap-
ter 457, as may be inconsistent therewith, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
