1260 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 410.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises
contained in the last wills and testaments of certain persons,
late of the State of Maryland, deceased, and also to certain
gifts, grants, sales, leases and deeds made by various persons
in this State, to and for the use and benefit of sundry minis-
terial persons, religious corporations, denominations or sects,
and to certain charitable institutions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
granted to the following gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales,
leases and deeds to and for the use and benefit of certain minis-
terial persons, religious corporations, denominations or sects,
and to certain charitable institutions as herein set forth.

1. To the bequest of twenty-five dollars ($25) contained in
the last will and testament of Mary J. Keefer, late of Washing-
ton county, deceased, to the trustees of the Broadfording
Church, in Washington county, Maryland, to be invested by the
said trustees, and the income therefrom to be used in keeping
in proper condition the monument and kerbing on said testa-
trix's family burial lot, wherein her deceased husband is buried.

2. To the bequest of six hundred dollars ($600) unto the
Christ Reformed Church of Sharpsburg, Washington county,
contained in the last will and testament of Sarah R. P. Smith,,
late of Washington county, deceased.

3. To the bequests of one hundred dollars ($100) each unto
the following Presbyterian Church Boards, with headquarters
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to wit: One hundred dollars
unto the Board of Home Missions; one hundred dollars unto
the Board of Foreign Missions; one hundred dollars to the
Board of Education, and one hundred dolars unto the Disabled
Ministers' Fund, contained in the last will and testament of
Sarah R. P. Smith, late of Washington county, deceased.

4. To the bequest of six hundred dollars ($600) contained
in the last will and testament of Elizabeth Hammond, late of
Washington county, deceased, unto the officers of the Lutheran
Church of Keedysville, for the purpose of the interest to be
used by said congregation toward paying the pastor's salary,
whoever he may be, and for no other purpose, the interest only
to be used, the principal to be invested for that purpose.

5. To the bequest of three hundred ($ 300) dollars contained
in the last will and testament of Elizabeth Neikirk, late of
Washington county, deceased, unto the German Baptist Breth-
ren of the Manor Congregation, Washington county, Maryland,
