91. To the sale, grant and deed by Laura J. McClenahan to
the Vestry of Saint James Church, a corporation of the State
of Maryland, of Port Deposit, Cecil County, State of Maryland,
of a lot or parcel of land in said town, county and State, more
particularly described in a deed from said Laura J. McClena-
han to the said "The Vestry of St. James Church," dated De-
cember 9, 1908, recorded among the Land Records of Cecil
County aforesaid in Liber M. D., No. 8; folio 303, etc.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sanction and consent of
the General Assembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby
given, granted and declared to the acquisition by the several

lieu thereof to appropriate the annual sum of forty-five hun-
dred dollars for the aid of Washington College.

Whereas, it has been found that the sum of forty-five hundred
dollars, the amount now appropriated for the support of
the Normal Department of Washington College, located at
Chestertown, Maryland, is insufficient to maintain a normal
department, with a curriculum and organization entirely
separate from the collegiate department; and that the said
normal department has therefore to be supported to a con-
