CHAPTER 279.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 180 and 191 of Article 20 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," sub-
title "Oysters," the same being acts to regulate the catching
and taking of oysters in the waters of Somerset County, and
to er-enact the same, with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 180 of Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Somerset County," subtitle "Oysters," and
Section 191 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Somerset County," subtitle "Oysters," the said Act being
acts to regulate the catching and taking of oysters within the
waters of Somerset County, be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:
SEC. 180. It shall not be lawful for any person to employ
any canoe, boat or vessel in catching or taking oysters with
scoup, scrape, drag or dredge or any similar instrument, either
on public or private beds within the waters of Manokin River,
in Somerset County, east of a straight line from Hazard Point,
on the Sound side of said river, to South Point, on the south-
east end of Little Deals Island.
SEC. 191. It shall not be lawful for any person to employ
any canoe, boat or vessel in catching or taking oysters with
scoup, scrape, drag or dredge or any similar instrument, either
on public or private beds within the waters of the Great Anna-
messex River, in Somerset County, east of a straight line from
Tenth's Point, on the south side of said river, to Porpoise
Point, on the north side of said river; provided, however, that
nothing in this Section shall prevent the taking of crabs.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 274.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 227 to 237, inclusive, of Article 20
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County,"
subtitle "Roads;" all amendments of said Sections; Sections
1 and 2 of Article 25 of the Code of Public General Laws of
1904, title "County Commissioners;" Chapter 443 of the Acts
of 1908, and all other laws, General and Local, so far as, but
no farther than, said sections, amendments, chapter and
laws, as may be inconsistent and in conflict with the provi-
