CHAPTER 529.
AN ACT to repeal Section 54 to Section 100B, inclusive, of
Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset
County," subtitle "Crisfield," and all amendments and addi-
tions thereto, -except such as are hereinafer excepted, and to
repeal Chapter 493 of the Acts of 1902 and Chapter 296 of the
Acts of 1894, and Chapter 262 of the Acts of 1896, and Chap-
ter 191 of the Acts of 1904, and Chapter 564 of the Acts of
1904, and Chapter 215 of the Acts of 1906, and Chapter 64 of
the Acts of 1908, and to re-enact the same with amendments
and additions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 54 to Section 100B, inclusive, of Article 20
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County,"
subtile "Crisfield," and all amendments and additions thereto,
except such as are hereinafter excepted, and Chapter 493 of the
Acts of 1892, and Chapter 296 of the Acts of 1894, and Chapter
262 of the Acts of 1896, and Chapter 191 of the Acts of 1904,
and Chapter 564 of the Acts of 1904, and Chapter 215 of the
Acs of 1906, and Chapter 64 of the Acts of 1908, be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments and
additions to read as follows:
54. The inhabitants of the City of Crisfield, Somerset County,
are hereby constituted a body corporate, by the name of the
Mayor and Council of Crisfield, and by that name shall have
perpetual succession, sue and be sued, have and use a common
seal, which may be altered at pleasure, and have all powers
incident to or that may attach to a municipal corporation, and
upon the acceptance of this charter the new corporation shall
have and possess all the rights, powers, property and duties
devolving upon the Commissioners of Crisfield, except as the
same may be changed by this Act.
55. The taxable and corporate limits of said City of Cris-
field shall comprise the territory now known as "Crisfield," to
wit: Beginning at a post on Long Point, on Little Annamessex
river; thence running eastward across said river to a post on
what is known as Hammock Point; thence by a straight line
touching the southeast corner of Henry F. Jewitt's house to
the new county road from the High School to Asbury Church;
thence by a straight line to a point on the east side of the New
York, Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad and the north side of
the new county road through the land of James H. Ward to
Mariners' Church, where the said railroad and county road
cross each other, and from the said intersection by the dividing
line between Crisfield and Lawson's Election Districts, running
