QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY. 1063

and alleys of said town, and the Town Commissioners of Cen-
treville shall have full power and authority to determine when
and where, and in what order and under what streets, roads,
lanes and alleys the sewers and drains of said sewerage sys-
tem shall be constructed or laid, and to make contracts for the
construction thereof, and shall have all the powers necessary
or appropriate for said purposes and for the accomplishment
of the objects thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Town Commissioners
of Centreville shall have full power and authority to acquire
by purchase, lease, gift, devise or by condemnation in the man-
ner prescribed in Sections 360 to 366, inclusive, of Article 23
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Cor-
porations," subtitle "Condemnation of Property by Corpora-
tions," any lands or interest therein in the town of Centreville
or in Queen Anne's County, adjacent to said town, which may
be needed for the disposal of said sewage or drainage, or for
any pipes, sewers, buildings or other works or structures
needed for the construction and operation of said sewers or
disposal of said drainage.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Town Commissioners
of Centreville shall have full power and authority to construct
said sewers and drains in or under the beds of any of the
streets, roads, alleys and lanes, and in or under any lots or
parcels of ground belonging to or which it may acquire, and to
connect therewith at the expense of the Town Commissioners
of Centreville, or to acquire .or cause all owners of property
along the line of said sewer or drain to connect therewith, at
tive cost of said owners, their respective house or building,
drains, sinks, wells, cesspools and receptacles of water or
sewage, and full power and authority is hereby conferred upon
the Town Commissioners of Centreville to provide by ordi-
nance or ordinances when and how such connections shall be
made, and the fines and penalties for the failure, neglect or
refusal of property owners of houses or other buildings and
lands in said town to make or permit such connections, and
for injuries to or interference with said sewers, drains, pipes
and connections, and said fines and penalties shall be col-
lected as other penalties and fines are collected.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted. That whenever said sewerage
system shall be in proper working order for receiving and dis-
posing of the sewage or drainage of any property along the
line of said sewer, the Town Commissidners of Centreville
shall have full power and authority to compel all owners of
said property, and it shall become the duty of all such owners,
at the expense of said owners of said property, to forthwith
