Charles County for the aforesaid purpose, on or before the first
day of November, 1918.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1918.

CHAPTER 464.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 51,
52 and 55 of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land, entitled "Work—Hours of, in Factories," sub-title
"Hours of Labor for Females," said section 51 having been
repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 147 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1916.

CHAPTER 465.
AN ACT to add additional sections to Article Twenty-two of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washing-
ton County," in regard to Automobiles, Trucks, and other
Motor vehicles, kept at livery, on storage, or for on or about
which labor, repairs, electric current, sundries, oils, or gaso-
lines are furnished, and to provide that a claim for any or
all of the same may be a lien against any such Automobiles,
Trucks or other Motor Vehicles, and that any or all of such
Automobiles, Trucks or other Motor Vehicles may be sold at
Public Auction for such claim; and to prohibit and to pro-
vide penalties for the failure to pay obligations incurred as
aforesaid.
SECTION 1. Whenever a motor vehicle or any part thereof
is left by the owner thereof or by any other person with his
authority, express or legally implied, in the custody of any
corporation, firm or individual for storage, alterations or re--
pairs, or for the purpose of having furnished for or on account
of the same any parts, accessories, tires, gasoline, oils, electric
current, towage or any other material or services, the corpora-
tion, firm or individual in whose custody said automobile or
part thereof is left for all or any of the purposes aforesaid,
shall have a lien on said motor vehicle or part thereof for all
