CHAPTER 411.
AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land to construct and thereafter maintain as a part of 'the
State Roads System an improved concrete or gravel high-
way, beginning at the State Road at Great Mills and fol-
lowing the County Road from that point to Cedar Point on
the Patuxent River, this being a United States Mail Route,,
and in extent about four miles long.
WHEREAS the section to be improved by the proposed im-
proved road is well populated by a large and thrifty class of
people and the land very productive, but the utter lack of an
adequate road or highway precludes the farmers in that sec-
tion from raising and marketing food crops on hundreds of
acres of valuable and productive land; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission of Maryland is hereby
authorized and directed as soon after the passage of this Act
as practicable, to build, construct and thereafter maintain, as
a part of the State Road System, an improved concrete or
gravel highway from Great Mills to Cedar Point, a distance
of about four miles.

CHAPTER 412.
AN ACT authorizing the State Roads Commission to construct
a public highway from Chance through Dames Quarter, St.
Stephens, Oriole and Venton in Somerset County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission of Maryland be and
it is hereby authorized, out of any money available for that
purpose coming into its hands, to build or construct a public
highway from the bridge connecting Deal's Island with Chance,,
said highway to go through Chance, Dames Quarter, St.
Stephens, Oriole and Venton and to connect with the state road
from Princess Anne towards Venton.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the State Roads Com-
mission is hereby authorized to use all monies due Somerset
County for road building from state apportionments or other-
