any land in this State by the owner thereof, or to wilfully
poison, kill, wound, destroy, remove or steal any game birds or
game animals, their young or their eggs, while kept or main-
tained within any such game peri, fence or other enclosure or
to enter into any such gam© pen, fence or other enclosure, un-
less by and with the consent of the owner of the land on which
such game pen, fence or other enclosure is kept or maintained.

SEC. 2. Whoever shall violate Section 1 of this Act shall
be liable, upon conviction thereof, to a fine of not less than
fifty npr more than one hundred dollars and imprisonment in
the House of Correction for a period of not more than six
months.

SEC. 3. The Justices of the Peace in the Counties and the
Police Justices in the City of Baltimore shall have jurisdic-
tion to hear and determine all cases arising under this Act, sub-
ject to the right of the accused to pray a jury trial and have
his case heard and determined in the Circuit Courts for the
Counties and in the Criminal Court of Baltimore City.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and
after the 1st day of June, 1918.

CHAPTER 399.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the State Roads Commission
of Maryland to construct and thereafter maintain as a part
of the State Road System, an improved concrete highway
from the intersection of the Central and Crystal Spring Ave-
nues, at Capital Heights, Prince George's County to the
State Highway known as the Marlboro Pike, Maryland.

WHEREAS, The said State roads, to wit, the Marlboro Pike
and Central Avenue end at the line dividing Maryland from
the District of Columbia;

WHEREAS, In order to reach one of said roads from the other
it is now necessary to enter Washington City and travel in
around about way a distance of three or four miles; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission is hereby authorized
and directed as soon after the passage of this. Act as is prac-
