842 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 380

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Wicomico County," be and the same is hereby amended by
adding thereto two sections to immediately follow Section 2 of
said Article and to be known as 2A and 2B and to read as
follows:

2A That it shall be unlawful for any person within the
limits of Wicomico County at any time to shoot or shoot at or
in any manner kill or catch, except by trapping, any musk-
rat; and it shall also be unlawful for any person within the
limits of Wicomico County to dig for muskrats or to dig into
or in any manner destroy or molest the roof or any other part
of a muskrat house or den; and it shall also be unlawful for
any person to have within his possession any muskrat or musk-
rat skin or hide that has been shot at or into or killed in any
manner, except by trapping, within the limits of Wicomico
County.

2B. That any person violating any of the provisions of the
preceding section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof before any justice of the peace of
Wicomico County shall be fined ten dollars for each offense or
sent to jail for not more than thirty days, or both at the dis-
cretion of the said justice; and every muskrat illegally killed
or caught and every instance upon which a muskrat house or
den is illegally molested, and every skin or hide of every musk-
rat so shot or illegally killed shall be deemed a separate offense.

CHAPTER 380.

AN ACT to amend Article 16 of the Annotated (Bagby's)
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Chan-
cery," sub-title "Auditor," by adding an additional section
thereto to be known as Section 24A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 16 of the Annotated (Bagby's) Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Chancery," sub-title
"Auditor," be amended by adding an additional section thereto
to be known as Section 24A, the same to read as follows:
