are hereby authorized and directed to issue, upon the faith and
credit of the said county, coupon bonds to the amount of Sev-
enty-five Hundred ($7, 500. 00) Dollars in such denomination as
they deem advisable, to bear interest at five (5) per cent, per
annum, payable semi-annually, and to mature ten (10) years
from the date of issue. The said County Commissioners of
Montgomery County are hereby directed to advertise such bonds
for sale in one newspaper of general circulation published in
Baltimore City, and in one newspaper of general circulation
published within Montgomery County, inviting sealed proposals
on a day to be named in the advertisement for the purchase of
the said bonds. At the time mentioned in the said advertise-
ment, they shall publicly open said proposals and award said
bonds to the highest bidder.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That, the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County shall annually levy against
the Thirteenth Election District of Montgomery County a sum
sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and the principal
thereof at maturity.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That, the proceeds of the
sale of said bonds, less the expense of advertising, shall be paid
over by the County Commissioners of Montgomery County to
the Mayor and Council of the Town of Takoma Park, Maryland,,
which payment shall be in full for all money advanced by the
said Town of Takoma Park, Maryland, in building the said road.

CHAPTER 172.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commissioners of Ches-
tertown, Kent County, Maryland, to borrow money on the
credit of said town for the purpose of securing Additional
Fire Equipment for said Town and to issue bonds for the
payment of same and levy on the assessable property of said
Town to redeem said Bonds and pay the interest on the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Commissioners of Chestertown be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to issue bonds in the name
of the Commissioners of Chestertown to an amount not exceed-
ing $6, 000. 00 in sums of not less than $100. 00, to be signed by
the Commissioners of Chestertown under the Corporate Seal
