CHAPTER 170.
AN ACT to repeal Section 132 of Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County"
sub-title "County Commissioners" according to Chapter 790
of the Acts of 1912 as the same was amended and enacted
by Chapter 344 of the Acts of 1914, and to re-enact the same
with amendments; designed to limit the expenditures for
regular Assistants to the Clerk to said Commissioners, and
Treasurer, of said County, to forty-five hundred dollars
($4500. 00) per annum.
SECTION 1. Re it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 132 of Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County" sub-
title "County Commissioners" according to Chapter 790 of
the Acts of 1912 as the same was amended and enacted by
Chapter 344 of the Acts of 1914, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
SEC. 132. He shall have power, subject to the approval of the
County Commissioners, to appoint such assistant, or assistants,
at a compensation of not exceeding four thousand five hundred
dollars ($4, 500. 00) in the aggregate, as he may deem necessary
and proper, for the faithful and efficient performance of the
work of his office, and the assistant, or assistants, as appointed
shall take the oath of office prescribed by the Constitution of
this State and shall execute such bond, or bonds, as the said
Clerk may require.

CHAPTER 171.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County Commissioners
. of Montgomery County to issue and sell bonds to the amount
of Seventy-five Hundred ($7, 500) Dollars, to repay the
'Town of Takoma Park, Maryland, for money advanced in
building a concrete roadway on Carroll Avenue from, the Dis-
trict line to Sligo Creek, and to provide for the payment of
interest and redemption of said bonds by a tax levy on the
Thirteenth Election District of Montgomery County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
