SEC. 263. Every applicant, before obtaining said license shall
pay to the clerk of the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's County
the sum of five dollars for each and every year, dating from
November first in each year, and it shall be the duty of each and
every person obtaining a license to exhibit the same whenever
called upon by any officer of the State; or any person holding a
license of the same kind, who is hereby created an officer to en-
force the provisions of this sub-title of this article, and every
sink box and booby blind used and employed in gunning after
wild water fowl shall be licensed as required by this sub-title of
this article, and be subject to all provisions of the several sec-
tions thereof applicable thereto.

SEC. 283A. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
shoot at or shoot wild fowl of any kind whatsoever, in or over
the waters of Queen Anne's County, except from the shore or
natural island, but not from any vessel, boat, float, canoe or
craft of any kind (except from licensed sink boxes now allowed
by law, and from what are known as booby blinds, which are
hereby allowed by law); provided, that said booby blinds shall
not be less than one hundred yards from the natural shore; and
the owners of same, before using said blinds shall pay the clerk
of Queen Anne's county the sum of two dollars and a half, in-
cluding his legal fee for issuing same; said license fee to be paid
to the County Commissioners for the use of the public roads.
And to provide further, that no person is allowed to place a
booby blind closer to another than three hundred yards; that
the owner of any booby blind shall, after paying the license fee
required by this section, have exclusive right of same, and any
one using the said booby blind without the permission of the
owner thereof shall be fined upon conviction before a justice of
the peace of Queen Anne's county, not less than ten or more
than twenty-five dollars, and upon the refusal to pay said fine,
to be committed to the county jail for a period of sixty days;
and further provided, that it shall be the duty of the oyster
police officers and constables of Queen Anne's county to see
that all persons using sink boxes and booby blinds have a
license for same as required by this section, and to arrest any
one violating any provisions of this section, and carry him be-
fore a justice of the peace of Queen Anne's county, to be dealt
with according to law; and provided further, that any person
shooting wild fowl from any vessel, boat, float or canoe or craft
of any kind otherwise than is allowed by this section, shall,
upon conviction before a justice of the peace of Queen Anne's
county, pay a fine of not less than ten or more than twenty-five
dollars, and in case of failure to pay said fine with the costs,
shall be confined in the county jail for a period of thirty days;
