election, said places to be selected by the Supervisors of Elec-
tions of said county, and said notice to be given at least two
weeks prior to the day of election in at least three newspapers
published in said county, and also by printed handbills to be
set up at some place in the said districts and parts of districts
affected by this Act and perform all of the duties as to elections
prescribed by the law of elections now .in force; but if for any
reason said notice be not given or not be given in conformity
with this section such failure or the failure of the sheriff to
perform any act specified by law such failure or failures shall
not affect this Act or the provisions thereof.

SEC. 3. That* the Supervisors of Election of Prince George's
county shall at least two weeks prior to said day of election
appoint in each of the afore-mentioned districts four persons
who are registered voters in said districts or residing in said
parts of said districts who shall be the judges of election, and
also appoint two registered voters registered and living as
aforesaid as clerks for said election, who shall be notified and
shall qualify as required by the law then in force in Prince
George's county governing general elections; and said super-
visors of Elections shall prepare a ballot of uniform size and
have same printed for the purposes of said election at least
one week before the said day of election, on which ballot shall
be the words printed: "For the sale of Spirituous or Fermented
Liquor" and "Against the sale of Spirituous or Fermented
Liquor," and any voter wishing to vote for the sale of spiritu-
ous or fermented liquors shall make a cross-mark in the
square opposite the words "For the sale of Spirituous or Fer-
mented Liquor," and any voter wishing to vote against the
sale of spirituous or fermented liquor shall make a cross-mark
in the square opposite the words "Against the sale of Spiritu-
ous or Fermented Liquor;" and the conduct of said election
shall be under the control of the Supervisors of Election of
Prince George's county, as far as practicable under the pro-
visions of article 33 of the Public General Laws of Maryland as
the same is amended by the Act of 1906, chapter 544, so far
as the same is consistent with the provisions of this Act, so
as to ascertain the wishes of the voters registered and resident
in the portions of said county affected by this Act. All saloons
in said county situated within the limits affected by this Act
shall remain closed on said election day and no intoxicating
liquor shall be sold or dispensed on said day under the penalties
imposed by section 3 of article 33 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, the whole of said article 33 of the Public General
Laws of Maryland being made a part of this Act so far as
the same is not inconsistent. The said supervisors in appoint-
