county, and in default of said payment of said fines, the person
or persons.so arrested shall be committed to the county jail for
a period of not less than ten or more than thirty days for each
offense; the boat or boats, gun or guns, light or lights captured
and forfeited under the provisions of this section shall be imme-
diately advertised by the justice of the peace at public sale by
notice posted at the courthouse door in Cambridge, Maryland.
Said sale shall be made in not less than ten days' notice, and the
said property so forfeited as aforesaid shall be sold at public
auction to the highest bidder for cash, and the money arising
from said sale and fines, after the deduction of legal costs of the
justice of the peace and the expenses of the said sale, shall be
paid one-half to the School Board of Dorchester county, for the
use of the public schools of said county, and the other half shall
be paid to the informer or person or persons prosecuting said
violators and securing their conviction; provided, that any per-
son or persons who may be aggrieved by the decision of the jus-
tice of the peace shall have the right to appeal to the Circuit
Court for Dorchester county; provided, that a satisfactory bond
shall be filed within five days from said decision, which bond
shall cover fully the value of the boat or boats, gun or guns,
light or lights forfeited, together with all fines imposed and the
costs of the case.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
