stone, or private, therefor, within the limits of said town, the
said President and Commissioners are hereby vested with the
same power and authority to condemn said land, earth or stone,
which is conferred upon corporations under the Code of Public
General Laws of the State of Maryland, and the mode of pro-
cedure in such cases shall be like that therein prescribed.
SEC. 138G. The said President and Commissioners shall have
full power and authority to enact ordinances and prescribe
regulations in regard to the use, care and safety of said sewers
and may prescribe and collect such fines and penalties for the
violation thereof as may be necessary.
SEC. 138H. This Act shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 562.
AN ACT to repeal section 201 of article 8 of the Public Local
Laws of Cecil county, sub-title "North East," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 201 of article 8 of the Public Local Laws of
Cecil county, sub-title "North East," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as fol-
lows:"
201. They shall have'power to provide for the payment of
damages and expenses of opening, widening, straightening, lay-
ing out, paving, curbing, re-arranging and grading the side-
walks and streets in the town by levying and assessing the same
generally upon the whole of the assessable property of the town,
or specially upon the assessable property of persons benefited
thereby or along, or by whose property the same may be done
and in the event of said damages or expenses being levied or
assessed specifically as aforesaid, the President and Commis-
sioners shall have full power and authority to pass regulations
and ordinances governing the said specified levy and assess-
ment, and the collection of the said damages and expenses so
specifically levied and amended.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
