Laws, title "Cecil County," sub-title "County Commissioners,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments so as to read as follows; and that a new section to be
designated as section 106D, and to follow immediately after sec-
tion 106c, and to read as hereinafter set forth, be and the same
is hereby added to said article.
SEC. 106c. The County Commissioners of Cecil county shall
each receive an annual salary of one thousand dollars in lieu of
all other compensation, per diem or mileage, said salary to com-
mence and continue on and after the first day of July in the
year 1908.
SEC. 106D. There shall be a general inspection by the County
Commissioners of all the public roads in the county, at least
four times in every year; one inspection shall be between the
first day of January and the first day of April; one between the
first day of April and the first day of July; one between the
first day of July and the first day of October, and one between
the first day of October and the first day of January. The
County Commissioners shall inspect all repairs to the public
roads in the county as soon as possible after such repairs are
made, and, unless the contract for said repairs has been fully
complied with, they shall refuse to pass the bill for same.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 709.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 107
of article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Cecil
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," as enacted by
chapter 490 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1894.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 107 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Cecil County," sub-title "County Commissioners," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as
to read as follows:
107. The Assistant Treasurer of Cecil county shall after the
first Monday in July in the year nineteen hundred and eight,
act as clerk to the County Commissioners of said county, and
shall perform all the duties imposed upon the clerk of said
Commissioners in the transaction of the business of the said
county; and the said Commissioners shall not, after the afore-
said date, pay any money or grant any compensation to any
