when required, shall act in the place and stead of said coroner,
and have the same powers and jurisdictions for the time being
as the said coroner so appointed for said twelfth election dis-
trict would have had in the premises.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said coroner shall hold
his office for the term of two years and until his successor shall
be appointed and qualified, and that the salary of said coroner
shall be two hundred dollars per annum, payable quarterly,
by the County Commissioners of Baltimore county.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Baltimore county be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to -levy annually on the assessable property of Balti-
more county a sum sufficient to pay said salary of said coroner.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of Acts
inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 100.
AN ACT to carry into effect section 1 of article 7 of the Con-
stitution of the State of Maryland, so far as the same re-
lates to Baltimore county, and to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 31 of article 3 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," as enacted by chapter 474 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January session, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 31 of article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," sub-
title "County Commissioners," as enacted by chapter 474 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January session, nineteen hundred, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows:
SEC. 31. There shall be three County Commissioners for
Baltimore county, who shall hold office for the term of four
years, and shall be eligible to re-election, and the three County
Commissioners of Baltimore county elected to office in the year
1907, to wit: Henry P. Mann, William T. Byerly and Charles
L. Mattfeldt, shall each hold office for the term of four years;
