and at the general election in the year 1911 there shall be
elected three new commissioners for Baltimore county, each of
whom shall hold office for the term of four years, and there-
after there shall be elected three new County Commissioners
for Baltimore county every four years. Each of said County
Commissioners shall receive an annual salary of twelve hun-
dred dollars, exclusive of the salary allowed them by law as
members of the Highways Commission of Baltimore county,
payable by the treasurer of said county, and they are required
to meet for the transaction of public business at their office at
Towson, Baltimore county, on Tuesday and Wednesday of
each week, and daily from the first Tuesday in March of each
year until the annual levy is made.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of Acts
inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 555.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments sections
thirty-eight and thirty-nine of article 3 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Baltimore
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," relating to the
purchase by the said County Commissioners of the property
sold for non-payment of taxes and the subsequent sale thereof
by them.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections thirty-eight and thirty-nine of article 3 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title
"Baltimore County," sub-title "County Commissioners," be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
38. The County Commissioners of Baltimore county may bid
at any sale in Baltimore county of real estate for State and
county taxes due thereon, and costs, and may -purchase any of
the tracts of land offered at such sale, and in case any of such
real estate shall be purchased by them at said sale, on the final
ratification of said sale, a deed for the property so purchased
shall be made to them by the treasurer of Baltimore county and
the collector of State and county taxes for said county, and
they shall hold the same for the use of the county.
