Arundel county are hereby authorized, empowered and directed
to appropriate a sum of money out of any funds in their pos-
session not otherwise appropriated, sufficient for the purchase
of a site and the erection of a school house in said county
within one-half mile from the intersection of the public road
leading from the Fork bridge to Laurel, with the Washington,
Baltimore and Annapolis Electric railroad in the fourth elec-
tion district of Anne Arundel county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said school house shall be
erected under the supervision and control of the Board of
County School Commissioners of Anne Arundel county, and the
site or location for said school house shall be determined by the
Board of County School Commissioners.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 426.

AN ACT to provide for the purchase of three lots of ground in
the Fifth Election District of Anne Arundel county, for the
erection and furnishing of a schoolhouse thereon, and to
authorize the Board of County School Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county to borrow money on the credit of said county
to purchase said three lots and erect and furnish three
schoolhouses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That William S. Crisp, James E. Brown, Richard W.
Hawkins and William R. Shipley be and they are hereby con-
stituted a building committee for the purpose of procuring a
suitable lot of ground in the village of Harmans, in the Fifth
Election District of Anne Arundel county, and erecting on said
lot a public school building; that William S. Crisp, James E.
Phelps, Emmett N. Wesley and George W. Downs be and they
are hereby constituted a building committee for the purpose of
procuring a suitable lot of ground at or near the present site of
Friendship school, in the Fifth Election District of Anne
Arundel county, and erecting on said lot a public school build-
ing; that William S. Crisp, Howard Shipley, John Boston and
J. Linton Tubbs be and they are hereby constituted a building
committee for the purpose of procuring a suitable lot of ground
in the village of Dorsey's, in the Fifth Election District of Anne
Arundel county, and erecting on said lot a public school build-
ing. Three members of each of said committees shall constitute
