SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 117.
AN ACT to appropriate from the State Tobacco Warehouse
Fund the sum of five thousand dollars for the use of the
Inspector of Tobacco, to be applied by him to meet deficien-
cies in the operation of the State tobacco warehouses.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the
Treasurer of the State for the sum of five thousand dollars in
favor of the Inspector of Tobacco from any money in the State
Tobacco Warehouse Fund not otherwise specifically appropria-
ted as an advancement to pay the salaries of employes now
provided by law and the running expenses of said tobacco ware-
house by said Inspector of Tobacco in meeting the deficiencies
in operating the State tobacco warehouses, and by said Inspec-
tor of Tobacco to be accounted for in his annual report, to be
filed on or before the 1st day of July, A. D. 1908.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 215.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money toward the Forest
Reserve Fund for the use and maintenance of the "Maryland
State Board of Forestry, " and for the care and extension of
the State Forest Reserve.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of
this Act, and also those of chapter 294 of the Acts of 1906,
the sum of four thousand dollars is hereby appropriated for the
year 1909, and a like sum for the year 1910, and the Comptroller
of the Treasury is hereby authorized to issue his warrant annu-
ally upon the State Treasurer for the said sum of four thousand
dollars, to be paid out of any funds in the Treasury not other-
