hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury of the
State of Maryland not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose
of paying the costs and expenses of printing the record, paying
the costs and for other expenses incurred, or to be incurred, in
the case of the State of Maryland versus the State of West Vir-
ginia, now pending in the Supreme Court of the United States,
and that the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the Treasury
for such amounts and payable to such person or persons as the
Attorney General of the State may from time to time require
and direct in writing, for the purposes aforesaid, or any of the
same, not exceeding, however, the said sum of ten thousand
dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 50.

AN ACT to appropriate the sum of thirty thousand dollars to
be used for the completion and necessary equipment of the
new annex or extension to the buildings for the use of female
convicts of the Maryland Penitentiary.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of thirty thousand dollars be and the same
is hereby appropriated for the completion and necessary equip-
ment of the new annex or extension to the buildings for the use
of female convicts of the Maryland Penitentiary.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 5, 1908.

CHAPTER 90.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to be placed to the
credit of the oyster fund for payment of salaries and expenses
of the State Fishery Force of the State of Maryland, from
October 1, 1907, to October 1, 1908.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller be and he is Hereby directed to issue
his warrant upon the Treasurer of the State, in favor of the
oyster fund, for the sum of thirty-five thousand dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, to be applied to the payment
