office, for printing blank licenses, protests, circulars, warrants,
books and other office expenses, six thousand dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary; for the contingent fund of
the State Tax Commissioner's office, for printing blanks, circu-
lars, stationery, books and postage, twenty-five hundred dollars,
or so much thereof as may be necessary; for the contingent
fund of the Land Office, one thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary; for the contingent fund of the
Court of Appeals, sixteen hundred dollars, or so much thereof
as may be necessary; for the contingent fund of the Attorney
General, for printing and traveling expenses, clerical services,
stationery, postage and other necessary expenses, fifteen hun-
dred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for the
contingent fund of the Board of Public Works, five thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; said amount
to be expended under the direction and control of said board,.
to be used for repairs to State property and other necessary
expenses; for the contingent fund of the State Librarian, for
postage, porterage, freight and other incidental expenses, nine
hundred and fifty dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary; said contingent funds to be paid upon proper vouchers
exhibited, to the Comptroller, an itemized account of which
shall be published by each department.

STATE LIBRARY.

For the augmentation of the State Library and furniture,
twenty-five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be
necessary; to the library committee, appointed by the judges
of the Court of Appeals under the provisions of section 12 of
article 55 of the Code of 1904, title "Librarian, State, " the sum
of nine hundred dollars for the purchase by said committee of
three hundred copies of the Supplement to the Maryland Code
of 1904, containing codification of the Public General Laws
enacted at the General Assembly of 1906, prepared and pub-
lished by John Prentiss Poe, so many of said copies as shall be
necessary to be distributed under the direction of said library
committee to the Governor, Secretary of State, Comptroller,
Treasurer, Attorney General, Adjutant General, State Tax
Commissioner, State Auditor, Commissioner of the Land Office,
Commander of the State Fishery Force, State Fire Marshal,
State Board of Education, Superintendent of Public Educa-
tion, to the judges of the Court of Appeals and of the several
judicial circuits, to the judges of the Supreme Bench of Bal-
timore city, State's attorneys of the several counties and of
Baltimore city, clerk of the Court of Appeals, State Reporter,
and to each clerk of the several Circuit Courts of the counties
