1370 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Baltimore County, and State of Maryland," a corporation
duly incorporated under the laws of the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the leave and sanction of the General Assembly of
Maryland is hereby given to the acquisition by "The Trustees
of Govanstown Methodist Episcopal Church of Govanstown,
Baltimore County and State of Maryland," a body corporate
under the laws of the State of Maryland of the following prop-
erty, to wit: The fee simple interest in and to a lot of ground
on the west side of the York Turnpike Road in Baltimore
county, near Govanstown, and particularly described in a deed
from Lawrence B. McCabe and wife to Thomas J. Hopkins and
wife, bearing date the seventh day of October, 1905, and re-
corded among the Land Records of Baltimore countv in Liber
W. P. C., No. 291, folio 214, etc.

Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from the date of
its passage.

Approved April 6, 1908.

CHAPTER 726.

AN ACT to authorize the State Board of Education to pay to
Eleanor M. Dudley a pension as provided for in section 53A
of chapter 584 of the Acts of 1904 for teachers who have
served twenty-five years.

Whereas Eleanor M. Dudley, a citizen of this State, was for
fifty years continuously engaged in teaching' in the public
schools, and during the time of such service became physically
disabled whilst in the service of the State, engaged in teaching
as aforesaid; and

Whereas the said Eleanor M. Dudley is now an invalid, resid-
ing under treatment at the Church Home Infirmary, in Balti-
more city, and is wholly incapacitated for work, and is seventy-
five years of age and without sufficient means of maintenance;
therefor,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Board of Education be and it is hereby
authorized and empowered to place the name of Eleanor M.
Dudley upon the "Teachers' Retired List," provided for in sec-
tion 53A of chapter 584 of the Acts of 1904, and to certify regu-
larly to the Comptroller of the Treasury of this State the name
of the said Eleanor M. Dudley, together with the names of other
retired teachers of this State. And that a pension of $200 per
annum be paid quarterly to said Eleanor M. Dudley by the
