the city of Philadelphia; (b) To a bequest of five hundred dol-
lars to the Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown, in Washington
county, in the State of Maryland, to be invested by the trustees
of the said church in some good and safe securities, with the
instruction aud direction that the proceeds thereof shall be
used for the furtherance of the religious interests and affairs
of the said church, and not to defray any expenses connected
with secular or material affairs of the said church.
59. To the bequest of one hundred dollars contained in the
last will and testament of Elizabeth Shifler, late of Washing-
ton county, deceased, to Salem Reformed Church.
60. To the bequest contained in the last will and testament
of Thomas A. Brown, late of Washington county, deceased,
whereby Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, at Greensbury, in
said Washington county, shall receive annually the sum of
twenty-five dollars, without interest, for a period of fifty years
after said deceased's death, or so long as said church shall be
kept up and remain Lutheran, said money to be used for the
most necessary purposes for said church.
61. To the bequest and devise of all her estate, real and per-
sonal, contained in the last will and testament of Susan Hager-
man, late of Washington county, deceased, to the German Bap-
tist Brethren Church of Hagerstown, Washington county, Mary-
land.
62. To the following bequest contained in the last will and
testament of Robert Bridges, late of Washington county, de-
ceased, to wit: A bequest of four thousand dollars to the Pres-
byterian Church of Hancock (Old School), a body corporate,
the trustees of said church to receive and hold said sum of
four thousand dollars and to invest and reinvest the same in
good mortgages and apply the income or interest accruing
therefrom to the support and salary of the person employed
and officiating as minister of said church, said income and
interest alone to be applied as aforesaid, and no part of the
principal.
63. To a bequest of five hundred dollars unto the Board of
Foreign Missions, whereof Dr. S. H. Chester, of Nashville,
Tennessee, was treasurer at the time said deceased made said
will, and said sum to be paid for the use of said Board of
Foreign Missions by said deceased's executors, unto the said
Dr. S. H. Chester, if he be living at the time of deceased's
death, otherwise to the person that may then be treasurer of
said Board of Missions for the use of said board, as made by
the will of Robert Bridges, of Washington county, deceased.
