SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 620.

AN ACT to authorize the Treasurer, upon the warrant of the
Comptroller, to refund to the Storey-Bennett Packing Com-
pany of Baltimore, forty-two dollars and thirty cents errone-
ously paid into the Treasury of the State as tax on shell
oysters.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the Treas-
urer of the State in favor of the Storey-Bunnell Packing Com-
pany of Baltimore, for the sum of forty-two dollars and thirty
cents, being for a tax per bushel on shell oysters erroneously
imposed, collected and paid into the State Treasury under sec-
tion 58 of chapter 380 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1900.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 623.

AN ACT to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers and
amend the charter of the Peach Bottom Savmgs Bank of
Harford County, Maryland, so as to enable it to loan money
on or purchase promissory and negotiable notes, bills obli-
gatory or other evidences of debt.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Peach Bottom Savings Bank of Harford County,
Maryland, be and the same is hereby authorized and empow-
ered to loan money on, or, when it deems it desirable, to pur-
chase promissory and negotiable notes, bills obligatory or
other evidences of debt.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the stockholders of
said bank shall be liable to the amount of their respective share
or shares of stock in said bank for all its debts and liabilities
upon notes, bills or otherwise.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
