to work for the welfare of the asylum, and make annual re-
ports to the board of active directors.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That said body corporate shall have power to con-
solidate with other charitable and benevolent organizations of
the same character, and the funds and property of each said or-
ganization so consolidating shall be held as effectively under
the new name or title as though said consolidation had not
taken place.

SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6, 1908.

CHAPTER 397.

AN ACT to declare and sanction the grants, sales and deeds
made by various persons to and for the benefit of the Balti-
more City Missionary and Church Extension Society of the
Methodist Episcopal Church.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly be
given and granted, and that the same is hereby enacted, to the
grants, sales, conveyances and deeds to the Baltimore City
Missionary and Church Extension Society of the Methodist
Episcopal Church as set forth in the following described deeds:
(A) A deed from Benjamin H. Classon and Ella A. Classon, his
wife, dated June 22, 1906, and recorded among the land records
of Baltimore city, in Liber R. O., No. 2249, folio 353, etc. (B)
A deed from Benjamin M. Classon and Ella A. Classon, his
wife, dated August 18, 1906, and recorded among the land
records of Baltimore city, in Liber R. O., No. 2266, folio 177,
etc. (C) A deed from Edwin Gulick and Sallie E. Gulick, his
wife, dated April 27, 1907, and recorded among the land
records of Baltimore county, in Liber W. P. C., No. 312, folio
272, etc. (D) A deed from James W. Fisher and others, trus-
tees, et al., dated October 28, 1907, and recorded among the
land records of Baltimore county, in Liber W. P. C., No. 323,
folio 68, etc.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
