row money and to execute bonds or notes therefor, and by
giving it perpetual existence.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Park Heights Water Company of Baltimore
County, in addition to the powers it now has, under and by
virtue of its certificate of incorporation, recorded among the
Charter Records of Baltimore county in Charter Records, Liber
U. B. M., No. 4, folio 396, and an amendment of the said certifi-
cate of incorporation, recorded among the Charter Records of
Baltimore county, in Charter Records, Liber U. B. M., No. 4.
folio 530, shall have power to borrow money on the credit of the
corporation at a rate of interest to be agreed upon, and to exe-
cute bonds or promissory notes therefor, and to secure the pay-
ment thereof it may pledge the property and income of said
company.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Park Heights Water
Company of Baltimore County shall have perpetual succession
and all the rights and privileges conferred upon water com-
panies under article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of
the State of Maryland of 1888, and all amendments and sup-
plements thereto; provided, that the said company shall have
now power to lay mains or pipes, or to construct any of its
works, or to within the limits of Baltimore city.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 405.
AN ACT to refund Thomas L. Hopewell, of St. Mary's county,
Maryland, the sum of money paid by him to the Comptroller
of the Treasury of the State of Maryland, and converted into
the Treasury of the State for license to dredge for oysters
with the sloop Cecelia, which was wrecked and a total loss on
or about November the third, about two days after the said
license had been applied for, and before it had been issued or
received by him.
Whereas Thomas L. Hopewell, on the first day of November,
1902, did apply through the clerk of the Circuit Court of St.
Mary's county, one Enoch B. Abell, depositing with him the
sum of twenty dollars and ten cents ($20.10) for a license to
dredge for oysters during the season beginning November 1,
1902, and ending March 15, 1903, which license. No. 579, was
issued from the Comptroller of the Treasury for the sloop
Cecelia on November 6, 1902;
