new the charter and continue the corporate existence of The
Saint Vincent of Paul's Benevolent Association, as incorpo-
rated by the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
chapter 57, session of 1840, passed on the tenth day of Feb-
ruary, 1841, with all the powers heretofore granted and to
amend the same and to change the name to Saint Vincent's
Male Orphan Asylum of Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 141 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, session of 1898, entitled An Act to revive and renew
the charter and to continue the corporate existence of the St.
Vincent of Paul's Benevolent Association, as incorporated by
the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, chapter 57, ses-
sion of 1840, passed February 10, 1841, with all the powers
heretofore granted and to amend the same and to change the
name to St. Vincent's Male Orphan Asylum of Baltimore
City, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said Saint Vincent's Male
Orphan Asylum of Baltimore City shall be governed by a
board of one hundred directors, divided into three classes, viz:
Active, honorary and auxiliary, the active members numbering
twenty-five, as follows: Adam Deupert, president; John J.
Mahon, first vice-president; John G. Johnson, second vice-presi-
dent; Rev. D. C. DeWulf, treasurer; Peter J. Campbell, secre-
tary ; Max Ways, Harry F. Hooper, Paul Lewis, Thomas F. Mc-
Nulty, James Tighe, Frank J. Murphy, Charles F. Evans, E. J.
Codd, Capt. Richard A. Dunn, Edward C. Claus, Hon. William
M. Dunn, Thomas E. Bartlett, Edward F. Meehan, Thomas R.
Cassidy, Dr. Benjamin S. Hayden, Eugene P. Vaughan, Rev. J.
D. Boland, Dr. E. P. McDevitt, Harry S. Dunn, Daniel J.
Loden. And their successors are hereby appointed as the board
of active directors of said body corporate for one year. They
shall have full and sole power and authority to manage its ma-
terial and financial affairs, make all contracts and adopt all
necessary rules, regulations and by-laws for the government
of the asylum and the entire board of directors. The honorary
members shall number twenty-five, to be elected by the active
members from those persons whose benevolence has aided or
helped the asylum. They are not required to organize, elect offi-
cers or vote. The auxiliary members shall be composed of fifty
ladies, residents of Maryland, to be elected at the annual meet-
ing of the active directors, who shall organize under by-laws
to be adopted by the active members. They shall meet at least
twice a year, elect their own officers and appoint committees
