dollars for liquor license for Edward W. Bennett for the year
1905-1906, but never received said license, and that subsequent
thereto, the said Edward W. Bennett concluded not to avail
himself of, or accept said license, whereupon application was
made to the clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore county to
have said license transferred to her, the said Maggie Lurz
Hagau, she being at that time the wife of George Lurz, and
having departed this life, she has become the wife of Joseph B.
Hagau, but objection having been made to the transfer, or
granting said license to her, the said Maggie Lurz Hagan, then
Maggie Lurz, the Circuit Court for Baltimore county declined
to order said transfer or permit the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the State Treasury be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the
Treasurer in favor of Maggie Lurz Hagan for the sum of forty-
seven dollars and fifty cents ($47.50), and the Treasurer is
directed to pay the same, out of any money in the Treasury not
otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Baltimore county be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to draw their warrant on the treasurer of Baltimore
county in favor Maggie Lurz Hagau, for the sum of one hun-
dred and fifty ($150.00) dollars, and the said treasurer of Bal-
timore county is directed to pay the sum out of any money in
the county treasury uot otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 373.

AN ACT for the benefit of Katherine Randall, widow of James
Ryder Randall, the author of "Maryland, My Maryland."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Treasurer, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay an
annual pension of six hundred dollars, in four equal instal-
ments of one hundred and fifty dollars each, to Katherine Ran-
dall, widow of James Ryder Randall, the author of that far-
famed war song, "Maryland, My Maryland," and who was a
native of Maryland and of whom the people of his loved State
were justly proud; provided, that the Comptroller of the
Treasury shall require the said Katherine Randall, once in
each quarter, reckoning from the date of the passage of this
