Act, to file with him an affidavit of two credible witnesses,
made before a notary public, that she is the identical person
entitled to said pension; and that the claimant is in indigent
circumstances.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 374.
AN ACT to amend, enlarge and extend the powers contained in
the charter of the "Workingmen's Building and Loan Asso-
ciation of St. Michaels, Talbot County."
Whereas the Workingmen's Building and Loan Association
of St. Michaels, Talbot County, was duly incorporated on the
thirty-first day of May in the year 1872, as will appear by refer-
ence to the corporation records of Talbot county, Liber J. B.,
No. 1, folio 22, and by an amended certificate thereto, subse-
quently granted on the twelfth day of March, 1889, and re-
corded among the said corporation records in Liber J. B., No.
1, folio 202, said incorporation and amendment being made
under the provisions of the general laws of the State of Mary-
land, relating to the creation and regulation of incorporated
companies in said State, with the capital stock of one hundred
thousand dollars, divided into one thousand shares of the par
value of one hundred dollars each; and
Whereas it is the wish of the directors and stockholders of
said corporation that the corporate powers be increased and
enlarged and its charter amended; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the powers of the Workingmen's Building and Loan
Association of St. Michaels, Talbot County, as contained in the
aforesaid certificate of incorporation and in the amendment
thereto, be and the same are hereby amended, enlarged and ex-
tended as follows:
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Workingmen's Build-
ing and Loan Association of St. Michaels, Talbot County, in
addition to the powers possessed by it under its certificate of
incorporation and under the general laws of this State, shall
have and possess the further powers, rights, privileges and
franchises particularly mentioned in this Act and its charter,
as set forth in said certificate, shall be altered and amended so
as to conform to the terms and provisions of this Act.
