1264 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Laurens streets, on the southwest side of said Madison
avenue, in said city of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
granted to the sale, grant and deed of a certain lot of ground
in the city of Baltimore, situated at the south corner of
Madison avenue and Laurens street, having a front of about
fifty feet on the southwest side of Madison avenue and of
about one hundred and twenty feet on the southeast side of
Laurens street, to St. John's of Baltimore, a body corporate of
this State, hereby recognized as such by the Board of Benefi-
cence of St. John's Independent Methodist Protestant Church,
in the city of Baltimore, a body corporate, by its deed dated
the ninth day of March, 1908, and recorded on the eleventh day
of March, 1908, among the Land Records of Baltimore city in
Liber S. C. L. No. 2408, folio , and that fee simple title to
said lot vest, pursuant to said deed, absolutely in said corpora-
tion, St. John's of Baltimore, its successors and assigns to its
own and their own use and behoof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sanction aiid
consent of the General Assembly of Maryland be and the same
is hereby declared, given and granted to the release of two cer-
tain mortgages of a lot of ground in the city of Baltimore,
situated on the southwest side of Madison avenue, between
Wilson and Laurens streets, having a front of about one hun-
dred and one feet on said Madison avenue and a depth of about
one hundred and twenty feet, to an alley, and distant one hun-
dred and seventy-nine feet and four inches northwest from
Wilson street and about fifty feet southest from Laurens street,
to St. John's of Baltimore, a body corporate of this State, by
the Board of Beneficence of St. John's Independent Methodist
Protestant Church in the city of Baltimore, a body corporate,
by deed of release dated the ninth day of March, 1908, and
recorded the eleventh day of March, 1908, among the Land
Records of Baltimore city in Liber S. C. L. No. 2408, folio ,
and to the vesting in St. John's of Baltimore of said lot free
and clear of all debt or claim on account of said mortgages,
or either of them, to the end that said St. John's of Baltimore
may and shall have absolute and unincumbered title to said
lot, it having heretofore acquired the fee simple or equity of
redemption in said lot from the maker of said mortgages.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
