PRIVATE ACTS. 1263
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the State
Treasury in favor of the said The Hubbard Fertilizer Company
of Baltimore City for the sum of seventy dollars, being amount
of moneys erroneously paid by it into the State Treasury for
taxes, the same having received the recommendation of the
State Treasury officials.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 338.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Home for the Friendless
Children of the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Home for the Friendless Children of the Eastern
Shore of Maryland, a body corporate without capital stock,
duly incorporated under the Public General Laws of Mary-
land, for benevolent and charitable purposes, its certificate of
incorporation being recorded among the Corporation Records
of Talbot county, in Liber J. B. No. 1, folio 6, etc., in addition
to the powers, privileges and franchises conferred upon it by
its charter, shall, with such powers, privileges and franchises,
having perpetual existence; subject, however, to the right of
the State of Maryland to repeal, alter or amend the same at
pleasure.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 343.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly to the sale, grant and conveyance of St. John's
of Baltimore, a body corporate, by the Board of Benefi-
cence of St. John's Independent Methodist Protestant
Church, in the city of Baltimore, of a lot of ground at the
south corner of Madison avenue and Laurens street, in the
city of Baltimore, and to the release to the former by the
latter of certain mortgages on its lot between Wilson and
