SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, Tha't this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 272.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the County Commis-
sioners of Queen Anne's county to grant a pension of fifty
dollars annually to Charles E. Kimbles, of said county, and
to levy said amount on the assessable property of said
county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's county
be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
grant a pension of fifty dollars annually to Charles E. Kimbles,
of said county, said pension of fifty dollars to be paid in quar-
terly instalments of twelve dollars and fifty cents each, during
his natural life, and to levy said sum of fifty dollars current
money upon the assessable property of said county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 274.

AN ACT to empower, authorize and direct the County Com-
missioners of Charles county to levy at their next annual levy
a sum of money to the use of Joseph A. Smoot, paid by the
said Joseph A. Smoot into the treasury of Charles county in
error.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Charles county be
and they are .hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
levy at their next annual levy, the sum of seventy-seven dollars
and eighty-two cents (|77.82) to the use of Joseph A. Smoot,
paid by the said Joseph A. Smoot into the treasury of Charles
county in error.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
