PRIVATE ACTS. 1239
dist Episcopal Parsonage of Patapsco Circuit, State of Mary-
land, to the trustees of the Parsonage of said Patapsco Cir-
cuit elected at the fourth quarterly conference of said Circuit
held on February 17, 1908, and the said trustees of the parson-
age so elected at said fourth quarterly conference shall hold the
same according to the discipline now governing the conduct of
the churches and parsonages of the Methodist Episcopal
Church in this State.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That chapter 349 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of the year 1849,
entitled An Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Methodist
Episcopal Parsonage of Patapsco Circuit, be and the same is
hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 260.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County Commissioners of
Washington county to pay to the board of trustees of the
Free Library and Reading Room of Boomsborough, Wash-
ington county, Maryland, a proportion of the franchise
tax paid by the savings banks and other institutions and
corporations located within the taxable limits of Booms-
borough, in said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be the duty of the County Commissioners of
Washington county to pay over annually to the board of trus-
tees of the Free Library and Reading Room of Boomsborough,
in Washington county, Maryland, one-half (1/2) of the franchise
tax the said County Commissioners shall receive under the pro-
visions of section 86 of article 81 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, the same being section 89 of article 81 of
the Code of 1904, from every savings bank, institution or corpo-
ration organized for receiving deposits of money and paying
interest thereon, located within the limits of Boomsborough, in
Washington county, Maryland, and having its principal office
therein.
SEC, 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
