1210 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 77.

AN ACT to amend the certificate of incorporation of the
Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
of Baltimore City, and providing, among other things, for
an election of directors of said society.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the certificate of incorporation of the Maryland
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Baltimore
City, recorded among the Charter Records of Baltimore city in
Liber G. R. No. 17, folio 274, as amended by the certificate of
amendment of articles of incorporation of the Maryland So-
ciety for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Baltimore
City, recorded among said records in Liber S. C. L. No. 48,
folio 58, be and the same is hereby amended by repealing sec-
tion 4 of said certificate as amended, and enacting the same
to read as follows:

4. The said corporation shall be managed by a board of
twelve directors to be elected and hold office as herein pro-
vided and required. On Friday, April the tenth, one thousand
nine hundred and eight, at three o'clock P. M. (or at any
adjournment or continuation of the meeting to be held on
said day for the purpose of the election herein provided for),
there shall be an election by the members of said Maryland
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Balti-
more City of twelve directors, which said twelve directors, to
be elected at said election, shall be and constitute the board
of directors of said society, charged with the management
and control of its affairs, for the period beginning at the
time of their election and running and continuing until their
successors shall be elected as herein provided; and of the
twelve directors so to be elected, as aforesaid, four shall
hold office until the annual meeting of said society of one
thousand nine hundred and nine, or until their successors are
elected; four shall hold office until the annual meeting of said
society of one thousand nine hundred and ten, or until their
successors are elected; and four shall hold office until the
annual meefing of said society of one thousand nine hundred
and eleven, or until their successors are elected. The said
directors so elected on April 10, 1908, shall, before the next
annual meeting of the society, decide which of their number
shall serve for the said respective terms of one, two and three
years, and at the annual meeting to be held in the year one
thousand nine hundred and nine, and at each annual meet-
ing thereafter, the members of said society entitled to vote
shall elect four of their number to serve as directors of the
