when said land may be needed by the said corporation, then
it may proceed to condemn and acquire the same in the manner
provided in sections 248 and 253, both inclusive, of article 23
of the Code of Public General Laws of this State.

SEC. 19. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 44.

AN ACT to pay to Delia Cullen, of Somerset county, Maryland,
the sum of two hundred dollars per annum out of the fund
provided by section 53A of chapter 584, Acts of 1904, pro-
viding for the pension of certain teachers of the public or
normal schools of the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Board of Education be and is hereby
authorized and empowered to place upon the teachers' retired
list the name of Delia Cullen, of Somerset county, Maryland,
and to certify regularly to the Comptroller of the Treasury
of the State the name of said Delia Cullen, with the names
of the other retired teachers of this State, and that said Delia
Cullen shall receive and be paid a pension of two hundred dol-
lars per annum, to be paid quarterly by the Treasurer of this
State, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, as other teachers
on said teachers' retired list are paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 49.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 4 of
the Acts of the Assembly of 1900, chapter 515, entitled An
Act to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers and amend
the charter of the Eureka Mutual Aid Society of Baltimore
(now called the Eureka Life Insurance Company of Balti-
more City by virtue of the Acts of 1904, chapter 113), a cor-
poration duly incorporated under the general laws of this
State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 4 of the Acts of 1900, chapter 515, entitled
An Act to extend the privileges; enlarge the powers and amend
