the said sale or sales should riot be finally ratified and con-
firmed, a copy of which order shall be published in some news-
paper printed in the said town of Rockville once in each of
three consecutive weeks before the day in said order named.
At the expiration of the time limited in said order the court
shall in one order ratify and confirm the sales in all cases in which
no objections have been filed, and in all cases in which objec-
tions have been filed, the court shall proceed to hear and deter-
mine the matter in all respects as now provided by law and
the rules and practice of the court. And if for any cause
the sale of any of said parcels of land shall be set aside, the
bailiff shall at once proceed to readvertise the same, and shall
sell the same in the manner hereinafter provided.
193 E. The Mayor and Council of Rockville may become

the purchaser of any property offered for sale under the pro-
visions of the preceding sections; provided, however, it shall
not bid therefor a greater sum than shall be necessary to pay
the taxes, interest, expense and costs of all kinds accrued against
the same, and shall have full power to dispose of the same in
any manner it may deem best for the interest of said town,
and shall dispose of the same as soon as said Mayor and Council
of Rockville can obtain at least the amount paid therefor, and
shall not retain the same more than one year after its purchase,
unless unsaleable.
194. The Mayor shall execute and deliver to the purchaser

when said sale is ratified by the Circuit Court, a deed of the
property so sold ; and the said deed shall convey to the pur-
chaser the said property, and shall be presumptive evidence
that all the requirements of the law have been complied with
in making said sale and deed ; and unless the owner, prior to
the sale, shall within one year from the date of such sale,
redeem said property by paying to the purchaser the whole
amount of the purchase money paid by him for the property
with interest at the rate of fifteen per centum per annum
therefor, said title shall become absolute and indefeasible; pro-
vided that when the Mayor and Council of Rockville is the
purchaser, the bailiff shall execute a deed conveying the prop-
erty so purchased to the Mayor and Council of Rockville.

195. The bailiff shall pay over to the clerk all taxes and other
accounts as they are from time to time collected, and at least
twice a month, on the first and third Wednesday of each and
every month, in said place, shall hold said sums, together with
all other monies received by him, subject to the order of the
Mayor and Council.
