of persons passing on or through or out of the station grounds
of any railroad in the State, or who shall wilfully act in a dis-
orderly manner within such station grounds by making such
loud and unseemly noises, or by catching hold of and soliciting
persons on eaid grounds against the will of such person, shall,
upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to a fine of not less than
one dollar and to the costs of his prosecution.

CHAPTER 352.
AN ACT to repeal Section eighteen of Article thirty-six of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled
"Fees of Officers," sub-title "Criers," so far as the same
applies to St. Mary's County, as amended by Sections two
and three, Chapter five hundred and sixty-seven of the
Act of eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section eighteen of Article thirty-six of the Code

as amended by sections two and three, chapter five hundred
and sixty-seven of the Act of eighteen hundred and ninety-
four, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as
to read as follows :
SEC 2. And be it enacted, That the crier of the Circuit

Court for St. Mary's County, in addition to the duties now
imposed by law, shall have the care and custody of the court
room of said court and the jury rooms attached thereto, and
the furniture therein at all times, and shall keep and maintain
the same in proper and safe condition for the use of the said
court and the juries thereof, and shall attend in person the
sittings of the court at all times when directed by any judge
thereof, and shall have charge of and superintendence over the
court-house yard and the enclosure thereof, and shall whitewash
the fence around the same at least once a year, and otherwise
keep the yard in a neat and proper condition.

Salary.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said crier shall receive
an annual salary of one hundred and twenty-five dollars, to be
paid quarterly by the County Commissioners of said county,
which shall be in full and in lieu of his fees, and shall be the
entire compensation for his duties.
