House, and said General Assembly shall provide, either by sep-
arate bill or by including the same in a general appropriation
bill, for the repayment of said several sums of money to
the collectors respectively entitled to the same.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 281.
AN ACT to grant certain additional powers and privileges to
the Baltimore, Middle River and Sparrows' Point Railroad.
WHEREAS, The Baltimore, Middle River and Sparrows' Point
Railroad is a corporation, which was formed under and in

accordance with the provisions of Article 23 of the Code of
Public General.Laws of Maryland, and its charter subsequently
amended by Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, ap-
proved April 2, 1896, having a paid np capital of four hun-
dred thousand dollars.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That in addition to the powers and rights conferred upon
the Baltimore, Middle River and Sparrows' Point Railroad by
the general laws of this State, and by the Act of General
Assembly of this State, approved April 2, 1896, the said rail-
road be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to lease its
properties and franchises to any other company, which may
own and operate a line of electric railway connecting with, but
not parallel to or competitive with the road of the said Balti-
more, Middle River and Sparrows' Point Railroad, for such
period and upon such terms and conditions as may be approved
by the stockholders of the said Baltimore, Middle River and
Sparrows' Point Railroad, and also that the said Baltimore,
Middle River and Sparrows' Point Railroad may lease the line,
properties and franchises of any other company, which may
own and operate a line of electric railway connecting with,
but not parallel to or competitive with the road of the said
Baltimore, Middle River and Sparrows' Point Railroad, for
such period and upon such terms and conditions as may be
approved by the stockholders of the said Baltimore, Middle
River and Sparrows' Point Railroad.
