that no effort will be made to take said land into the taxable
limits for a period of ten years from and after the twenty-
ninth day of January, in the year of eighteen hundred and
ninety-four, and if by any means, or by any power, eaid land
shall be taken within the city limits before the expiration of
the said period of ten years, that then the said land, and all
the improvements thereon, shall be exempt from municipal
taxation for the remainder of said period of ten years, and
that if said land be taken into the city limits either before or
after the expiration of the said period of ten years, that then
the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick will purchase for the
purpose of a public street from said Willard C. Keller, his
associates or assigns, said private road or street, at a price not
less than the total cost thereof ; and

WHEREAS, It is desired that legislative sanction be obtained-,
to said agreement ; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick, a body

and that the agreement so made be deemed the lawful act of
the Mayor and Aldermen aforesaid, and the legislative sanction

CHAPTER 7.
AN ACT to require the County Commissioners of Carroll
County to pay to the Mayor and Common Council of Union
Bridge, Carroll County, Maryland, one-half of the amount
of " Road Tax," levied or taxed upon the property within
the limits of Union Bridge, to be used for the repair, main-
tenance and improvement of the streets, roads and alleys in
Union Bridge.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Council of Union Bridge, Carroll county, Maryland, one-half
of the amount of taxes, levied and collected annually by said
County Commissioners, for road purposes upon the assessable
