CHAPTER 184.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of
Elihu S. Riley.

land, That the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars is hereby
appropriated to pay for the compiling and printing of the
Maryland Manual tor 1897 and 1898, compiled by Elihu S.
Riley, under the authority of the Governor of this State, and
the Comptroller of the Treasury is hereby directed to issue his
warrant upon the Treasurer of the State in favor of the said
Elihu S. Riley for the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars
hereby appropriated.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 185.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 200, 201 and 202 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Kent County," sub-title
"State's Attorney," and to re-enact Section 200 with amend-
ments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 200, 201 and 202 of the Public Local

Attorney," be and the same are hereby repealed, and section
200 is re-enactod with amendments, to read as follows :
200. The State's Attorney f or, Kent county shall receive for
the trial of cases in the Circuit Court for Kent county the

same trial fees as are now allowed by the rule of said court,
and for trials or examinations which appear before justices of
the peace or the coroner, as the representatives of the State,
such reasonable compensation as may be allowed by the County
Commissioners of said county, which fees and compensation
shall be passed and paid as ordinary accounts against said
county are now passed and paid.
