LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the division line between

the two districts hereby created out of said election district
number seven, shall be as follows: all that part of district
number seven as now laid out and established, lying east of
the Hooppole road ; Third street in the town of Oakland and
Aurora road shall be known and designated as district number
seven ; and all that part of said district number seven as now
laid out and established, lying west of the Hooppoie road ;
Third street in the town of Oakland and the Aurora road,
shall be known and designated as district number fourteen.

Where
located.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the places of holding elec-
tions in said district number seven and fourteen, shall be
located where the same may be selected by the Board of Elec-
tion Supervisors of Garrett county.

Duties of
officers.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
Board of Election Supervisors of Garrett county to appoint
the necessary registration officers, judges of election and clerks
of election for said new election districts to carry out the pro-
visons of the General Election Law, applicable to Garrett
county.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the Board of Election

books to be
delivered.

Supervisors of Garrett county, shall at the time for registration
of voters in said county for the year 1898, deliver to the regis-
tration officers of election district number seven registration
books of precinct number one of election district number
seven as now laid out and established, and to the registration
officers of district number fourteen, the registration books of
precinct number two of district number seven as now laid out
and established ; the lines of said new districts number seven
and fourteen being identical with precinct number one and
two of election district number seven as now laid out and
established.

Consider the
names.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That several officers of registra-
tion for said districts number seven and fourteen shall take
and consider the names found upon the registration books
delivered to them as aforesaid, for precincts numbers one and
two of election districts number seven as now laid out and
established as duly qualified voters in their respective districts,
subject however to the provisions of the general election law
applicable to the qualification of voters.

Appoint-
ments.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the Governor shall appoint
two justices of the peace for said district number seven, and
one justice of the peace for eaid district number fourteen.
